The ThermiVa® Procedure
The treatment begins with applying therapeutic heat to the inner lining of the vagina, the labia minora, & labia majora using a sterile disposable probe. These areas may be treated at once or in separate sessions. The physician inserts the RF wand into the vagina to treat the inner vaginal walls, gently rotating the wand in circles. This part of the procedure is done for inner vaginal tightening and can take about 15 to 30 minutes. The RF probe can also be applied externally to achieve the tightening effect of the labia.
During this time, patients may experience a moderate heating sensation. Most women describe this as a comfortable feeling akin to a soothing, warm massage. You can immediately resume your normal activities following the treatment. Our expert physician will then advise when to return for your follow-up session.
